Travelling with a gluten free diet can be a real challenge if you don’t know where to look. As someone who is gluten free myself, I understand the extra steps required in holiday-research and the added anxiety of ‘what am I going to eat?’ And let’s face it, food is one of the best parts about a holiday, especially a city break! The good news is that Bristol has plenty of spots for gluten freers to enjoy! Here is a list of my favourites to help you in your research.
Left Handed Giant
Left Handed Giant is a great spot for a refreshing gluten free beer and good vibes. Not only do they have gf options on tap, but they also have some excellent gluten free beers in the fridge. LHG also does gluten free pizza bases (though they can’t guarantee no cross contamination).

The Garden of Easton
The Garden of Easton is a beautiful oasis located in Easton (if the name didn’t give that away!). Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner you’re after, you’ll find a range of gluten free as well as vegan options on the menu. Great cakes as well and a very unique Bristol vibe.

Creamberry Artisan
This brand new, family run bakery is 100% gluten free! Everything is coeliac friendly and almost entirely dairy free as well. If you don’t want to make the trip to Old Market, they deliver as well. Creamberry Artisan
Reliable Chains
Cosy Club
Part of the Lounges family, Cosy Club is always a safe choice for coeliacs and gluten free diets. They are super on it with allergens and you’ll find plenty of options on the menu to enjoy.
Pieminister
If you’re after a traditional pie, Pieminister is a great spot. They’ve got various gluten free pies on the menu, as well as some incredible sides that are all gluten free. Tip: if you are sensitive to gluten-free barley malt extra, make sure you double check the menu as some of the items contain this ingredient.
Pho
Pho is a Vietnamese Street Food chain whose menu is 98% gluten free. It is accredited by Coeliac UK and offers a range of options that are delicious, healthy and safe!
